Harmony with nature

What denies us a life in harmony with nature?

The reason for my love of nature is simple; it provides me with a sense of comfort and enrichment that I cannot find elsewhere. Nature creates a healthy, invigorating and calm environment around us. That is the reason we love nature. Our life is in danger when we disturb the stability of nature with our lifestyle delinquency.

Take a trip to Taloja to see several factories producing chemicals and drugs. That would be a starkly contrasting experience to the peace and happiness you can find on my farm. Nature has a way of creating an environment that sustains life and provides comfort to all lives.

If one were to live a simple life and leave behind the luxuries of modern society, one would undoubtedly find solace in nature. It is a place you can live in peace by escaping the chaos of everyday life.  It is important to remember that the earth hasn’t t always been the lush and vibrant planet as we know it today. Millions of years ago, it was an unforgiving place that was difficult for all lives to thrive. With the end of turbulence, the planet became hospitable to humans.

The last glacial period, known as the Himayug, lasted 1000 years, and snow made it possible for humans to survive. This period of the Holocene marked the beginning of the current geological epoch and provided a favourable environment for human life to thrive. After melting the Himayug ice, the earth remained calm for 1000 years. That was a challenging period for our ancestors. But they managed to sustain until the earth became warm to support and thrive all lives, including human lives. During the Holocene, humans began to develop agriculture and settle in one place, leading to the rise of civilizations. As societies grew, so did their impact on the environment.

The current geological epoch is known as the Anthropocene. The period sees massive human activities and a corresponding impact on the earth’s ecosystems and geology. The massive use of fossil fuels, deforestation, and the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere characterize the period.

The Anthropocene has led to many environmental challenges, including climate change, threats to biodiversity, and pollution. So long as we continue to navigate through the epoch, we must consider how we can mitigate the adverse impact on the planet and work towards a more sustainable future to lessen the effects of the Anthropocene on our planet.

One way to mitigate the adverse impact on the planet is to shift towards renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower. The alternative and safe source would reduce our reliance on fossil fuels to cut greenhouse gases. Additionally, reforestation can help restore ecosystems. We must reduce our consumption of fuels and recycle waste to promote sustainable practices in industries such as agriculture and transportation.

Such practices would help us address the crises of climate change. We need to synchronize government policies with proactive individual practices by using non-polluting mass transit systems, reducing meat consumption, and investing in energy-efficient technologies.

Climate change is a pressing issue that affects every living being on this planet. The rise in global temperatures, melting of polar ice caps, and extreme weather conditions are all consequences of human activities. We must take effective action to reduce carbon emissions with sustainable practices. We can collectively make a big impact on the health of our planet by making small changes in our daily lives. It can be as simple as using reusable bags and water bottles and investing in renewable energy sources.

Nature is not just a reservoir for personal enjoyment. It is a vital component of our planet’s ecosystem. Plants and animals play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of our environment. It is our responsibility to protect and preserve them. We can ensure that future generations can also experience the beauty and benefits of nature by taking steps to reduce adverse impacts on the environment and supporting conservation efforts.

Unfortunately, many people are unaware of this phase and fail to appreciate the significance of maintaining a favourable environment. It is crucial to preserve the earth’s favourable conditions because nature is bound to change in the future. Our living style should not be the reason for the change that can make the next generation’s life harder.

As humans, we must take responsibility for our actions and avoid making decisions that may harm the environment. Instead of relying on artificial luxuries like air conditioning and refrigeration, we should strive to maintain a natural atmosphere that benefits all lives on the planet. Let us not be the reason for nature’s imbalance, but rather let us be the liable habitants of the earth and ensure that it remains a hospitable place for generations to come.

Nature has a way of providing us with comfort and sustenance. It is a place where we can find peace and happiness. No wonder it fascinates so many of us, while toxic fumes deny us our natural right to live by breathing clean air.
