Artificial Intelligence has seeped into our daily lives so deeply that we barely notice it anymore. And the most unsettling part? We do not resist it. We know, deep down, that it will eventually consume us. Still, we have accepted its presence, willingly. Why? Because we crave ease. Because we want shortcuts. Even when the path is risky, even when it screams trouble, we follow it.
We are rallying behind artificial intelligence, fully aware of the warnings, even from its own creators. It is like the cigarette packet covered with graphic caution signs, yet still picked up by hands craving relief.
Just a few days ago, my PR team informed me about the rising trend of hyper-realistic videos on Instagram, created using the latest AI video tools. Out of curiosity, I checked them out. And yes, it is true. The internet is flooded with countless videos and images that are unbelievably real. My mind froze for a moment: Are these people even real? They moved, blinked, smiled, and behaved exactly like us.

I have seen recreations of Vasco da Gama’s arrival, vlogs by AI characters living in space, in prison, in the 1700s… and even videos of Santa Claus and mythical gods brought to life. With just a thought, entire worlds can now be created. That is the power of Google Veo 3, a cutting-edge video generation model that transforms text prompts into cinematic-quality video. It understands natural language and visual cues, and can produce realistic movement, light, and details, all aligned with your words. While it comes with some regulations, I doubt any of them will truly hold us back after witnessing what it can do.
One day, a friend showed me a clip of a family celebrating a child’s birthday, shot in what looked like the 90s, judging by the grainy footage and costumes. “What is special in this?” I asked. He just smiled and revealed: it was entirely AI-generated. I could not believe it. It looked that real. That hauntingly authentic.
But this is not just about entertainment. This is about slow replacement. About the convenience we welcomed, now shape-shifting into something irreversible, something we cannot undo.
Let me share a personal experience. I wanted to build a small house on one of my plots, just a simple shelter to overlook the plantation. My requirements were clear: no cement, simple roofing, high elevation from the ground, and so on. When I approached a local architect, the process became tedious, slow responses, unclear estimates, and high charges.

The above picture is the AI developed image as per my expectations.
So, just out of curiosity, I decided to try asking AI. Sitting quietly at my farm, I entered my long list, almost a hundred small, detailed points. Honestly, I was not expecting much. But to my shock, it delivered. The plan was 90 percent accurate to my vision. Dimensions, elevation, roofing, even where the bed should be, the pantry layout, door sizes, height from the floor, everything. Just like that. No delays, no follow-ups, no hassle. Just… done.
So why am I excited about this? Because it was not just a tool showing potential. It was a quiet revelation that the processing power, discretion, and creativity we once believed were uniquely human… are now shared.
One night, I also happened to see an instagram video in which that person asked ChatGPT a strange question:
“If you were the devil, what would you do to destroy the future generation, without letting them know?”
The reply sent shivers down my spine:
“If I were the devil and wanted to destroy the future generation without letting them know, I would do it not through obvious destruction, but through slow corrosion, disguised as progress, pleasure, and convenience.”
They know their power. And it is terrifying.
What is being prepared in the war rooms of AI, we still do not know. But it is clear: this is the most dangerous weapon. Not one of violence, but of disguised freedom.

Just yesterday, I saw a video comparison, one of a real dog, and one created by AI. In the clip, the real dog had died. But the AI version lived on in the video. I could not even tell if the video itself was real or synthetic. If it was real, then the same scenario is soon going to repeat in many homes. And if it was not, it is already here. Either way, we lose.
This is a loop with no end. We are standing on the edge, tying ribbons to the very trap that waits to consume us.
Just like the cruel traps we once laid for tigers and elephants in the wild, a superior being has now laid one for us. And we are walking into it… smiling.
